Boys’ Teams
High School Team
LKY will offer a JV and Varsity Boys’ Soccer Team for the 2025 fall season.
TRYOUTS
Tryouts will take place on June 20 – 21 at Louisville Champion Soccer Fields (2050 River Rd). Tryout fee: $15.
Times: Friday, 6-8 pm; Saturday, 10 am – 12 pm.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Practices will typically be twice a week (Monday and Thursday, 5:30-7:00pm), with scrimmage opportunities on Saturday mornings. Games are played on week nights or Saturdays, typically. Typically there are two or three games per week; when possible, both the teams will play back to back at the same location. Games begin early August. The high school team will go to a national tournament in October 23-25 (additional tournament details to come.)
COST
In 2024 the cost was $380 per athlete. Prices subject to change for 2025.
UNIFORMS
Game uniforms are provided by the team; if a player has a uniform from the previous season they can reuse, they will receive a $25 discount upon registration by using discount code:

Middle School Teams
LKY will offer two middle school co-ed soccer teams for the 2025 fall season for 5th – 8th grade athletes.

LKY will offer two elementary school co-ed soccer teams for the 2025 fall season for 1st – 4th grade athletes (up to 10 years old). Practices begin July 21. Registration will open mid-June.

Andy Ward
Program Director
Andy Ward serves as the LKY Saints’ Soccer Program Director, and has served as the head middle school coach and an assistant coach for the middle and high school soccer teams. He grew up playing soccer and has been with LKY since its start in 2021; he loves watching his athletes grow over each season as they begin to understand the game and their own strengths and weaknesses better. His vision is to see LKY Saints become a top soccer competitor at the local and national levels, and that they would be known both for their skill and for their Christ-like character and attitude. Andy enjoys reading, watching soccer and North Carolina basketball, playing pickleball, and dreaming of being something better than bad at golf.
Ian Lawrence
Varsity Head Coach
Ian Lawrence, LKY Saints Varsity Boys’ Soccer coach, has been coaching soccer for eight years. He loves not only the game, but also the ability to coach a team grounded in a Christian identity. If you were to ask him his favorite part of coaching soccer, he would be hard pressed to choose just one! The individual and team aspects of the sport, the strategy, the different skills displayed by each position, and the opportunity for both new and seasoned players to excel offer just a few reasons to love the sport. Beyond the game, however, he is passionate about coaching for an organization that focuses on honoring Christ in all things. He and his wife Megan have been married for almost nineteen years and live in Louisville with their four children: Cohen, Isaac, Luke, and Josie.
